Debra Bishop is a children’s picture book author who lives on her oldest son’s farm in North Carolina, where she tells stories to her grandchildren. Her first children’s picture books, Pokey the Purple Unicorn, and Bubbles the Baby Dragon were born this way.

Preteens and teens may enjoy The Sweetest Day, her Hansel and Gretel retelling.

She and her husband live full-time in a motorhome, and travel the U.S. when they are not on the farm.

Debra was imagining stories before she could read, has a BA in English Literature, and has written over 40 books for adults, under a different name. She loves writing imaginative stories, hearing children laugh, walking on the beach, and ice-cream.
